I came to see Dr. Hicks after having the following symptoms for 2 years: dizziness, vertigo, tinnitis, "fullness" feeling in the ear, nausea/vomiting. These symptoms were very disruptive to my life, and they would come and go at any time.
I had been to an E.N.T who ordered a sinus, then brain MRI, and my results wer negative both times. He told me I was fine because there was nothing wrong with me. My symptoms, though, continued until I came across information about Dr. Hicks and his services. After my consultation with Dr. Hicks, Lynne performed the Canalith repositioning maneuver. The day after the maneuver, my ear was tinnitis free for the first time in weeks.
I came for therapy with Dr. Hicks for about a month and a half, and also started taking herbal supplements while making changes in my diet. I can now report that I haven't had any bouts of dizziness, vertigo, or nausea/vomiting since the maneuver was performed. The tinnitis is now very mild and sometimes I don't even notice it!

In the past three years I have had dizzy spells off and on. I went to my family doctor that had me take medicine that only covered up the problem. I was sent to some specialists (EN&T) and had many tests done, but again told me they couldn't find anything wrong. My dizzy spells continued. My days consisted of sending people to do my errands, pushing the shopping cart, parking close to buildings so I could hold on to the wall as I went inside. These spells occurred just out of the blue. When walking with people I had to hold on to someone as I went on. This was very tiring to cope with. My next thought is to go to my old Chiropractor and I did this for 3 weeks, 3x's a week. The treatments only worsened, so I stopped going. I read an article of one of Dr. Hicks' patient, and it sounded just like my daily lifestyle. After I had the treatment done at this office, I felt great. I guess second and third opinions are needed. If you feel this way daily, the only thing you will lose is feeling great. I do my own errands and just can't believe it's me. Hello, My name is Ann Langfit and I was in an automobile accident on October 11, 2002. I was knocked unconscious by the airbag. The impact with the airbag left me with severe vertigo and nystagmus. Even slight movement of my head caused the rooms to spin. No one seemed to know what to do to help me. I found Dr. Hicks on the internet. The description of nystagmus on his website matched my symptoms perfectly. I made an appointment for testing. Everyone in the offic is caring and compassionate. I was so grateful to finally find someone who could help me. The testing procedure was very unpleasant but I honestly believe that the nystagmus in at least one ear was eliminated during the testing. The following week I had the canalith maneuver for the other ear and I am now free of both vertigo and nystagmus. I think every emergency room should have Dr. Hicks' office number for every patient admitted with a head injury. Dr. Hicks, you and Lynne are angels. Positional Vertigo! What a nice sounding name for a sensation that the room is spinning out of control and you are in the middle of the spin hanging on for dear life! I had positional vertigo a few years ago and suffered for over three weeks with severe spinning and nausea that accompanied this problem not knowing that there was anything that could be done.
On February 12th I had a "dizzy" spell at the office of Dr. Hicks while lying down for therapy. I mentioned to Berinda that I had vertigo as the room spun out of control. She told Dr. Hicks who arranged for me to have a consultation with Lynne for vertigo. Lynne explained that they could test me and if the vertigo was confirmed on testing, she does a procedure/maneuver that thus far has been 100% effective in treating vertigo. I was ready!
Testing confirmed vertigo and the procedure - only taking about 15 minutes - was done. I was sent home in a cervical collar with instructions for the next 48 hours. I had no dizzy spells during that 48 hours and when the collar came off my vertigo was GONE. I have had no more "spells" and am so excited to tell everyone I know about this wonderful procedure.

For no apparent reason one day while standing up I became so dizzy I almost fell over. I would stagger around like someone with too much to drink. While turning over in bed my head would swim so badly I felt like I would pass out. Driving was difficult as every time I turned my head the dizziness would return.
There was no doubt in my mind that an allopathic solution would not solve my problem. That would have just resulted in a battery of expensive tests and a handful of pills producing nothing but side effects leaving me worse off than before.
My first stop (trauma aside) is always to my Chiropractor and in this case as always I was not disappointed. I soon found myself in the very capable and professional hands of Dr. Hicks, his wife and a very warm and caring staff.

Before the dizziness even began I was looking to change practitioners and had already made the decision to visit Dr. Hicks. I have used two other Chiropractors in the past for a variety of issues with great success but a problem in my neck due to a whiplash injury continued to bother me. Any relief lasted only for a minute or two and has become very frustrating for me.
Although I had resigned myself to just suffer with this neck problem forever I thought I would at least mention it to Dr. Hicks. I have to admit I thought he was ignoring my complaints about my neck at first because he kept sending me to his foot reflexologist and she would squeeze my feet.
Every time I would complain about my neck I would kind of wait to be directed to the table and get my head twisted or put in traction or something familiar but off I would go to get my feet squeezed.
After the third treatment something completely unexpected began to happen. My neck problem started getting better. After discussing my health problems and medical history and the fact that I had been diagnosed with a form of "Mycosis Fungoides" which is a rare form of skin cancer. I had been a case study here in Florida for Dr. Bryan, and during one session, I had twenty seven doctors to look at the condition on the backside of my upper thigh when they had gotten together at a conference in Orlando, and that's when it was diagnosed. I had severe lower back pain for the past 2 1/2 years. I practically lived on pain medication in order to deal with life. My pain was a 9 or 10 sometimes an 11. I work for an insurance company where I sit about 8 or 9 hours a day. When I sought out chiropractic care I was to the point where I couldn't deal with the pain any longer. It has been a little over a year since I started coming to see Dr. Hicks. I am much better now than I was then. I no longer take any medication at all, prescription nor over the counter. At the time I was on prescription medication for sinus (pills and a nasal steriod spray); medication for my IBS; and pain medication. My gastroenterologist wanted me to have gallbladder surgery, which I refused.

I have a history of chronic lower back pain from an injury. My regular treatment in the past always included taking medication for relief of the pain medication that would give side effects including lack of energy and at times episodes of depression.
One day during routine movement I experiened a pain in my lower back that caused me to let out a loud scream. Fortunately for me I was not in a public place and I was near a phone. When I first decided to come for treatment after my accident, I was very skeptical. I didn't really believe that chiropractic medicine truly worked. But I was experiencing so much pain, discomfort, and headaches that I decided to give it a try. I have had almost 3 months of care and I feel 100% better.
